hester van hasselt
Hester van Hasselt studied theatre in Maastricht (NL) and Brussels (B) and language and literature at the University of Utrecht (NL). As an actor she performed in works by Paul Pourveur, Esther Gerritsen and Rob de Graaf and gradually gravitated towards dance. She is a member of Jérôme Bel’s company and performs regularly for Nicole Beutler. She started developing her own performances in 2008, in which year she made When not evening night, based on the novella Ill seen ill said by Samuel Beckett, at hetveem theater.
Hester was a member of the selection committee for Dutch Dance Days 2007.
