December 2007 - Ivana Müller’s performance While We Were Holding It Together won two out of three prizes that were granted at Festival Impulse. The jury of the internationally renowned festival awarded While We Were Holding It Together with the first prize for the best off-theatre production as well as the prize of the Goethe institute. The jury praises While We Were Holding It Together amongst other things for its complexity, subtlety and the quality of the performers. From the jury report: “Ivana Müller’s While We Were Holding It Together is a perfect performance, that within an extremely clear and simple design is able to display a remarkable complexity. A tableau vivant, as intelligent as it is touching, that manages to fascinate the audience by the subtlety of the construction as well as the quality of the performers. The jury considers While We Were Holding It Together an important production and as a unique and stimulating performance.”

June 2007 - Ivana Müller is one of the laureates of this year’s Charlotte Köhler Prize. This prestigious prize is biannually awarded by the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds to three young talented artists in the field of theatre for the whole of their oeuvre. From the jury report: “Her texts are constructed in a clever way. Unexpected connections are being created through repetition and an intriguing tapestry of thematic strands. The jury praises the work of Ivana Müller for its strong conceptual power in which text, set design and mise en scène are combined, regularly breaking the existing concentions in performance and dance.”
