On Belief zooms in on the co-presence of performer and spectator in theatre. To stage this reflection, Ivana Müller curiously uses a video lecture. On Belief proposes a possible meeeting between Ivana Müller - physically absent, visible on screen though - and ‘you’ sitting in the audience - invisible but present… This meeting, initially being merely anticipation, becomes the moment of ‘real’ in the context of ‘here’ and ‘now’.

On Belief was commissioned for the opening of the Springdance Festival (2007, Utrecht).
